     Colt State Park in Bristol is often referred to as the 'gem' of the State Parks System. The entire western border of the park is an open panorama onto Narragansett Bay. Open year round, the park offers four miles of bicycle trails passing along the Bay and through 464 acres of groomed fruit trees, carefully nurtured flowering bushes, and manicured lawns. Rich in history, it proudly displays  ten large playfields,  a historical museum, six picnic groves containing 400+ picnic tables and its' popular open air Chapel-By-The-Sea.

Directions from Providence: Take Interstate Rte.195 East, to Exit 2, Rte.114 South, to Hope Street in Bristol.
Current Fees: none.

Entrance Fees:  As of July 1, 1998 there will no longer be entrance fees charged at Rhode Island State Parks, although parking fees will still be in effect at the Rhode Island State Beaches. All fees for Picnics and other Park Use still apply. Call the Park Permit Office for further information.

Reservations:  Required for Fireplace Sites and for Ceremonial Area

Facility Rentals: 

Fireplace Sites - $4.00 - $30.00 per day

Gazebo [2 Grills & 8 Picnic Tables] - $100.00 per day

Ceremonial Area - $15.00 for 3 hours

Office Hours: [winter] 8:00 - 3:30 [summer] 8:30 - 4:00
