Rhode Island State Parks & Recreation is a division of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Managements (DEM) Bureau of Natural Resources. The Bureau protects, manages, restores, and promotes the state’s wide array of historic parks, beaches, recreational facilities, and green spaces.
Stop in or contact us to apply for and receive disability beach parking passes or purchase gift certificates. You can also find information on our Naturalist Programs, seasonal hiring and lifeguard certifications, as well as the Rhode Island's Great Outdoors Pursuit. In addition to park areas that can be reserved, there are many sites that are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis and do not have to be rented. Please email DEM.RIparks@dem.ri.gov for questions on these locations or contact the park directly.
To contact a park directly, please reach out to the regional manager or view the park's page for contact information.
To reserve a shelter or pavilion, please call the park you are interested in directly.
