Playing It Safe at the Golf Course

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, new procedures are in place at the Goddard Golf Course for the safety of our patrons and staff. Please read this carefully before entering the Golf Course area. While we are excited to open and have you enjoy our beautiful course, it is very important that all of these guidelines are being followed.

Face coverings: All patrons are required to wear face coverings at all times while near the Golf House or in the parking area. Patrons should wear face coverings on the golf course when near patrons who are not in their household group. The only exception to this rule is for anyone whose health would be in jeopardy because of wearing a face covering or children under 2 years old.

Physical distancing: If you are not from the same household group, you should maintain 6 feet of physical distance between individuals. You should also maintain this distance between staff members and anyone else you may encounter.

Tee times: NO WALK-INS. All tee times must be scheduled in advance (up to 2 days in advance) by calling 401-884-9834. If you get a busy signal, please call back. Tee times are limited to 4 people per tee time and will be scheduled every 15 minutes between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM to prevent crowding. You must arrive within 10 minutes of your start time to avoid forfeiting your tee time. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early. When you arrive at the golf course, check in at the customer service window and present your ID to confirm and, if you have not prepaid, pay for your tee time. Plan to pay with exact change - CASH ONLY. On-site credit card acceptance will be available soon. A 3% convenience fee will apply to onsite credit card payments.

No Shows: If you are unable to keep your tee time, please call 401-884-9834 as soon as possible to cancel. No shows prevent others from having the opportunity to play golf.

Golf Carts: Available on a first come, first-served basis. This will be based on the time of your tee time, so we recommend early tee times if you cannot golf without a cart. Carts cannot be reserved in advance. The price is $15/cart. The last cart rental is at 4PM. You may pay with a credit card or exact-change cash. You must be 18 years of age or older and a licensed driver to rent a cart. We will hold onto your license while you golf, so remember to bring it with you. Please don’t show up more than 15 minutes early for your tee time, to prevent overcrowding. Showing up early will not give you preference for a cart over a person with an earlier tee time.

Personal golfing gear: The Golf House will not be selling golf balls or tee markers this season – you must bring your own. You may bring your own push cart, but we ask that you not share it with anyone outside your household. Do not share golf clubs, balls, or any golfing gear with non-household members.

Golf house & parking lot: Patrons are not allowed in the Golf House. All outdoor seating has been removed. Please do not congregate in the area around the Golf House or parking lot. If you are waiting for a tee time, please wait in or near your car to avoid crowding. Do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for a tee time. Please leave the site immediately after your round is finished.

Course modifications & safe play: Do NOT touch flagsticks. Cups have been modified to prevent players from touching the cup. Bunker rakes and ball washers have been removed. Bring your own hand sanitizer or wipes and sanitize your hands regularly during play.
